HOORAY!  My "girlfriends, wine and ice cream" card won the LOUIE award!!  The Greeting Card Association has named my card the best humorous friendship card of 2010!  So So proud and thankful, truly honored.

WOW!  My designs will now be licensed in Finland!  The Karto Oy company will be using 10 of my designs to print Finnish Greeting Cards.  We're International Baby!!

Hi!  My name is Janine Yordy and I am a self-taught artist and poet following my dream.  I have been writing and drawing "forever", even through the dark period I refer to as, my biology degree (I thought I was going to swim with the dolphins, honest!) 

For the past five years, I have been selling my art and cards in boutiques and galleries throughout Minnesota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and North and south Carolina.  My art travels bring me to regional art shows, trade shows, and wonderful, fabulous, National Stationery Shows!

My poetry has been honored by the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Writer's Digest and the Florida Writer's Association.  

In other happy news, my poetry will be published in Boys' Quest Magazine this year!  You will see my poem "Heroes" in the October 2011 issue!
